I used to take photos of my rose garden during the months it bloomed as often as I could. But in the past few years, other things have become more important. Recently, my daughter brought me the large yellow bloom below and I decided I should revisit an old hobby. There aren’t quite as many rose bushes as their used to be, plus I had decided to check them out on a day after the gardeners had come through (I’m almost convinced they cut bouquets to take home to their wives and/or girlfriends). But I did find a few. If you have a rose garden that sits by the wayside most of the time just waiting for you to enjoy it, a great way to make it last forever is to take its picture. I love playing with light, different angles, etc. that can make it each flower look completely different shot after shot. I’ve used my photos for my websites, blog posts and calendars. They always come in handy and will be treasured for years to come, long after the petals have fallen.
